Amphitheatre

We call this part of the garden the Amphitheatre because it a circular space and if you sit quietly for a while you are sure to see a show ... this week it was grey fantails and tiny tiny birds darting among the mistletoe. Those shrubs flower at this time of year, I wish I knew their name.  I like them.

Evening light

Our shed faces west so we often sit and enjoy the light on the clouds as they day comes to a close.

Clump

Found this little clump of flowers down by the fence.  I don't think I have seen this one before. While I walk around I am busy pulling up weeds - don't know if this one is friend or foe yet but it is pretty.

Caught again

I took this shot because I remembered capturing something similar in a different colour back a year or so ago.  Here it is Caught .

Hello gate

I call this the Hello Gate.  I makes a rusty moan ... "Hel lo" when I open it each time we arrive.

Logs 2 of 2

This is a fence post still standing.  I wonder it that is some sort of wasp nest?

Logs 1 of 2

Just taking photos of textures.  This one is from our old fence and destined to be a warm fire.

Feet

This is the feet of the cypress family (before the rain).

Family

I don't think I've shown the Cypress family before.  It's a cluster on the bottom block, with Mum, Dad and lots of little ones.  I like it.

Stripping

Here is one of the trees stripping its bark.   That along with the rain made for lovely colours this weekend.

Autumn

Autumn in the Aussie bush is not about leaves falling, it is about bark falling.

Hiding

The lack of weeds this summer didn't really have me believing that we had got the better of them.  I knew that they were just hiding until it rained and sure enough along with the rain came the rising of the weeds.  St John's wort is beginning to flower, and some of the others are making a return too.

Before and After

What a difference rain makes.  There has been lots of rain over the past couple of weeks it seems and it's still raining.
