Sunning

He's still not well so we chose to sit in comfortable chairs and read the Saturday newspapers instead of attacking the weeds.  There is no real rush and it was a crisp sunny day, unlike the mountains which were damp and shrouded in mist.

Nobbles

We didn't go out there this weekend.  The weather wasn't very nice and Ian is still unwell.

Leaf curls

I went for a walk down one of the narrow tracks we cut through the grass.  Every few steps along the way there was a web across the path put up by a leaf curling spider.

Flowers?

A few weeks ago when these bushes started to sprout I wondered if it was new growth or flowers.  Here is what they look like today .. I guess it is some sort of flowers.

Another neighbour

The neighbour over the side fence is not shy like the cattle down the back.

Odd flower

Ian is still not doing too well so we have missed out on going to the Rest again this weekend ... I'm missing it.  So here is another flower photo from the spring.  I really did wonder if it was a flower or some sort of fungus. In my Blue Mountains flower book it describes Sour Bush which might be a match.  Partly parasitic ... throughout the spring tiny short stalked pearly flowers are scattered singly along branchlets.

Indigo

We didn't go out to Clandulla this weekend so here is one of the spring flowers.  I believe it is Australian Indigo (i ndigofera australis).   Yet another pea flower but I like the leaves on this shrub.
