The death of blackberry patch 4 freed up this lovely big tree and lots of little saplings. This patch looked smaller but was actually the hardest of the lot but, yipee, it was the last of them. What did we find under this one?

ReplyDeleteYer not gonna let the saplings stay in-situ are you? They will just compete for the resouces ... c'mon ... you're the expert ..
I'm not an expert at all. I didn't think about that but surely in the forest the saplings form and some succeed and some don't so there is something to take over when the big on dies.
ReplyDeleteI do intend to leave some of the saplings and scrubby bits there for screening and for the little birds.
