We were out at the Rest again this weekend.  Cut down a dead tree to convert into firewood.

There are wattles out all over the block and other plants looking like they will flower soon.  An exciting time of year.

It was incredibly warm on the weekend.  Out at the block the wattle continues to bloom and I see that among the shrubs there are another two types of wattle which are working on flowering soon.  I also discovered these flowers on what I thought to be a native cypress sapling.  I didn't know they flowered like this. I checked the bigger trees and they don't have flowers so perhaps it is something entirely different.

There is amazing diversity across this acre of ground - certainly not a monoculture.
