The bluebells are nothing like the Pommy variety. Theirs are like the woodland bulb that you see carpeting under trees in exotic cold climate gardens like in the mountains. I used to have some a Burnbrae but they died out ... smothered by weeds I guess.
A lot of Australian wildflowers are the blink-or-you'll-miss-it kind. It's why it's so exciting to 'discover' them.

ReplyDeleteAre they the bluebells that the Poms rave about, or our own variety. It is a delicate shade of blue ... the pink likewise.
