Blue and Pink

The blue bells are popping up all over the place now, the pink ones are one of these little surprises to discover when looking closely at the ground.

  1. A lot of Australian wildflowers are the blink-or-you'll-miss-it kind. It's why it's so exciting to 'discover' them.

  2. Yeh ... hat is why having this plot of land to scour is so rewarding ... I am missing less.

  3. Are they the bluebells that the Poms rave about, or our own variety. It is a delicate shade of blue ... the pink likewise.

I agree about the blink and you miss ...

  4. The bluebells are nothing like the Pommy variety. Theirs are like the woodland bulb that you see carpeting under trees in exotic cold climate gardens like in the mountains. I used to have some a Burnbrae but they died out ... smothered by weeds I guess.
