Well here is what happened to the peaches. They went all spotty and mouldy then fell off the tree. I am not sure if it is disease or the incessant wet weather that made this happen.
What is interesting is that we had quite a crop this year whereas nearly none last year. So the moral of the story is I reckon - water the tree during dry years and keep the the water off the fruit, might get an edible crop that way.
Bugger.
ReplyDeleteWet weather I'd say.
Wet weather certainly doesn't help. We had 4 tomato plants in over the summer and produced just a handful of eatable tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteI have given up on my veggies, as all I seemed to grow were bugs.
ReplyDeleteThese peaches reached a fairly good size before succumbing, however.
