I am trying to see how far into winter I can get before I turn on the heater. I am finding it acceptable at this stage, but it is early days, early days.
We are doing the same ... sort of. We light a fire nearly every night but what I am trying to do is avoid needing to turn on supplementary heating at night and needing central heating in the daytime. I figure putting on an extra jumper is cheaper than electricity and gas.
