A mystery solved


I have wondering for some years now why the previous owners of our block lopped the top off the wattles rather then cutting them to the ground. And chatting to the neighbours we found the answer ... it wasn't the owners it was the neighbours who cut the trees.  It turns out their goats love eating this variety of wattle so they were harvesting them from the then abandoned block.  They only wanted the leaves, not the wood, so lopped them off higher up.

Many off them have sprouted again over time like the ones below.  They are coming into flower at the moment.
