Coomber Melon Mountain

The Crepe Myrtles on the footpath in front of the house are coming into flower.  And that is our wonderful mountain backdrop.

Roses, roses all the way

We have named our new home "Rose Orchard Haus" because of its roses, fruit trees and that fact that it was owner-built by a German couple who lived here for over 50 years. Anyone who has followed Burnbrae Journal will know how many times I have tried to grow roses there and find it too shaded for success.  Here is it different, lots of roses in lots of different colours so I can choose my colour scheme.

Big Home (about half the size of Burnbrae) Big Block ( another half acre 2000 sq mtres to look after) Big Views (they are wonderful) The large lounge area with bay window has slow combustion wood fire heating, air conditioning and a ceiling fan (all great ). A huge separate dining room (now family room ) leads to the kitchen, which has an electric (gas) stove as well as a wood fuel stove with back up hot water heating. (The wood fuel stove is an interesting quirk which takes up so much room there is no space for the fridge in the kitchen!) Off the kitchen (not exactly as it is an enclosed kitchen) is a family room (now the dining room) overlooking the yard . The 3 bedrooms are all a good size, easily fitting larger beds (yes) . The retro bathroom is in great condition and has separate bath and shower (I like retro but am not sure about a green bath and toilet with blue tiled walls) . High (much lower than at Burnbrae but late 1950s high) ornate ceilings (not too ornate,...

Our new home

It's time I introduced you to our new home in Kandos.  Here is the real estate description. Big Home Big Block Big Views Are you looking for a bit more?
